Xavi tells Messi’s replacement to leave Barcelona

Xavi, the manager of Barcelona, is reportedly pushing for Spanish winger Ansu Fati to leave the club as soon as possible. According to reports by Javier Miguel of AS reports, Xavi believes that Fati has no future at Barcelona and plans to inform several key players about his plans for their future once the club seals the league title.

Fati was brought in as a direct replacement for Lionel Messi after the Argentine left the Catalonian giants in the summer of 2021. However, the youngster has failed to meet the expectations of many, with the heavy responsibility dropped on his shoulders.

Now, reports suggest that Xavi has given the green signal for Fati’s sale, as the club needs to raise funds this summer and is ready to make a few sacrifices. The 20-year-old is likely to reluctantly leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Fati’s father had previously criticized the club and Xavi for the way they have handled his son and pleaded with the young player to leave the club and find playing time elsewhere. However, Fati himself reportedly does not want to leave Barcelona.

In addition to Fati, several other players, including Raphinha, Jordi Alba, and even Robert Lewandowski, face uncertain futures at the club.
