“ I Influenced Current Generation Of Streamers” Tory Lanez Claims
Rapper Tory Lanez wants has flowers for making streaming a big deal worldwide now. Tory Lanez has been persona non grata for so long, it’s hard to remember when he was just a mildly successful Toronto artist. There was once a time when Lanez was better known for his music than for certain aspects of his personal life.
One of the most striking examples of this delineation came during the pandemic.Tory Lanez created Quarantine Radio, which not only gave fans something to watch during the time of lockdowns but also heightened his status among them. Now, Lanez wants credit for what Quarantine Radio has done to today’s crop of streamers.
Tory Lanez is currently locked up, but he still has access to social media. This is how fans found out that the rapper wanted his flowers. He re-posted an image of himself during Quarantine Radio with the caption:
“POV: It’s 2020, You stuck inside and just opened Instagram.”
The original post was supposed to remind fans just how vital Quarantine Radio was, and Tory Lanez doubled down. He said that his idea helped create what streamers like Adin Ross and Kai Cenat do today.
“I crawled,” he wrote. “So the streaming community could walk.” He then used the hashtag #QuarantineRadio.
Tory Lanez helped to popularize streaming in the hip hop genre. Quarantine Radio was so popular that when it was facing a ban on Instagram, the CEO Adam Moressi found it necessary to release a statement explaining why they were taking such actions.
Moressi asserted that he was a “huge fan of the platform.” However, he was compelled to terminate Quarantine Radio due to it being “in breach of its community guidelines.” Tory Lanez is well-acquainted with limitations. The artist was likewise obligated to discontinue his Prison Tapes series after his recording apparatus was seized during a raid in September.
Tory Lanez went on an Instagram Live rant after voicing his frustration. He claimed the guards took down his equipment because the inmates were enjoying his music “too much.”
“I was shut down because the higher ups figured out what I was really doing with the Prison Tapes,” he said. “And how many inmates were being helped in a life-changing way because of them.
” The rapper has not been able to continue the series since. He has, however, appeared on the DDG song “Handling Business.” He reportedly put down his verse using an iPhone.
