Esta TerBlanche Dead; Obituary, Cause Of Death

Esta TerBlanche Dead; Obituary, Cause Of Death: The cause of death for “All My Children” star Esta TerBlanche was disclosed.

The late “All My Children” actress Esta TerBlanche passed away last summer at the age of 51, and her cause of death has been made public.

According to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner online records examined by USA TODAY, TerBlanche passed away from an intracranial hemorrhage. The actress’ secondary cause of death is recorded as a severe head injury, which resulted in blunt force that produced the hemorrhage.

It was decided that the death was accidental. According to a press release from the medical examiner, TerBlanche’s head injury was “likely due to a ground level fall.”

The Cleveland Clinic states that an intracranial hemorrhage, sometimes referred to as a “brain bleed,” is a form of stroke that happens when a blood vessel bursts or leaks, resulting in a pool of blood between the brain and skull. Blood buildup puts pressure on the brain and prevents it from getting enough oxygen.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, acute injuries and falls are frequent causes of cerebral bleeding. Furthermore, people who have uncontrolled hypertension are also more susceptible to the illness.

In 2024, TerBlanche passed away on July 19. Lisa Rodrigo, the actress’s publicist, lamented her passing on Facebook the next day, writing, “Esta was a beautiful soul in and out.” I felt honored to have known and collaborated with her.

Most famously, TerBlanche played Princess Gillian Andrassy on “All My Children.” From 1997 till her character’s death in 2001, the South African actress starred in the ABC soap series. According to TerBlanche’s IMDb biography, she also starred in an episode of “Spin City” and the South African television series “Egoli: Place of Gold.”
