Caleb Shermoe, Howell Huntsman Reported Dead; Obituary, Cause Of Death
Caleb Shermoe was a hunter from Howell, Michigan, and his family and friends posted a memorial to him on social media when he passed away.
Nina Aeschliman posted on social media that Shermoe, of Fowlerville, had gone away in the last several days.
“Rest in peace, Caleb! Please pray for the Shermoe family during this heartbreaking time.😢😢 May God wrap his loving arms around them all!” Nina wrote.
The East Lansing Police Department reports that Shermoe passed away after being assaulted in the 300 block of East Grand River Avenue.
On Saturday, January 18, at approximately 1:30 a.m., East Lansing police officers were dispatched to the premises. With assistance from the East Lansing Fire Department, they located the attack victim and took him to Sparrow Hospital.
After receiving medical attention for his wounds, Shermoe sadly died away. A suspect has been found and taken into custody by ELPD. His identity has not yet been made public.
Tony Douglas, another friend, wrote a piece praising hunting and the idea that every day spent outdoors could be one’s last. Shermoe hunted for a living.
Caleb’s funeral and memorial service preparations have not yet been announced by the Shermoe family. When more information about this story becomes available, check back.
