Amani Miles, Bowie State Football Student Support Staff Member Dead; Obituary, Cause Of Death
Amani Miles, a student support staff member for Bowie State Football, passed away, according to Bowie State Athletics.
After graduating from the university in 2024, Miles, a resident of Silver Springs, Maryland, accepted a job as a student manager. There is no known cause of death for her.
The devastating news was announced in a statement released by Bowie State Athletics.
“We are deeply saddened to share the loss of our beloved @bowiestfootball student support staff, Amani Miles,” the statement began. “Amani’s presence was a source of inspiration and strength to us all,”
Amani earned a Business Administration degree with a marketing specialization from Bowie State University in 2024. While still in school, Miles served as the Head Football Equipment Manager. She participated in various extracurricular activities, including the Bowie State Cab Street Team and Bowie State Circle K International.
In December, Miles celebrated her graduation by posting pictures of herself in her gown and celebrating earning her degree in business administration. In addition, a cousin congratulated her on her accomplishment and shared a picture of her.
Miles was born on January 6, 2002, and had just reached his 23rd birthday.
Bowie State Athletics sent their deepest sympathies to Amani’s family and friends following her untimely passing. In a commemorative statement, Miles’ classmates from the class of 2024 also recalled her.
“To our departed Bulldog, Amani Miles—a devoted sister, friend, daughter, and Bowie Bulldog for eternity. Far too soon, we lost a kind and innocent spirit. Amani made a lasting impression as an equipment manager and as a proud Business Marketing graduate in the fall of 2024. Many people were touched by her generosity and light, and her legacy will always be cherished, the organization declared.
